Along the way, we speak to a bar design expert, innovative bartenders and a tech professional – inspiring our audience with examples of beautiful – and functional – hospitality design, whilst uncovering the spectrum of decisions that can affect (and improve) the day-to-day workings of a bartenders workplace…

In this episode, our experts focus on two of the most important components of making drinks – raw materials and flavour. By balancing old ways of presenting flavours with new ones, exploring other supply chains for our ingredients and educating guests on the produce that goes into their drinks, bartenders can start to answer the question: what is the essence of flavour?
From the importance of understanding ingredients, to sourcing seasonally, creating uniqueness and finding an identity: this episode explores how bartenders can be leaders in changing consumers’ (and future bartenders’) understanding of produce and how it relates to flavour.

With the rum category in growth and the flavours of Jamaica Rum so distinctive to other production styles, we welcome you to join us for an afternoon session of education, exploration . . . and rum tasting.

Aside from tasting some great rums, participants will also learn the fundamentals from the diverse world of Rum, including history, production and aging techniques from Campari Academy UK’s Rum Expert, Chris Dennis.

The session is open to anyone currently working in the on-trade and should last no longer than 2 hours.
